Cantiere Navale F.lli Marchi, the yard of the Marchi brothers, sits at Campalto on the Venetian lagoon, handling new builds, refits of classic boats, one off projects and winter storage. It made its name with a type of its own, the supergommoni da crociera: motor yachts with a rigid hull wrapped in a belt of inflatable tubes, meant to run fast in rough water. The pilot model was the ten metre Superbly 33. The number in a Marchi name is roughly the length in feet, and the Marchi 72 is a fibreglass yacht of over 22 metres.
