Cantiere Navale Tecnonautica is an Italian yard whose boats carry the Jeranto name. The Jeranto 7.5 Cabin is described as a classic Sorrento gozzo, following the lines of the traditional working boats of the Sorrento peninsula while adding modern comfort: the cabin has three berths, a galley and a heads. You spot a Jeranto by the high rounded bow and full gozzo hull, the wide sunbathing area and a simple superstructure. Many of them work the Amalfi Coast around Sorrento, Positano and Capri. The number in the name gives the approximate length in metres.

A gozzo is made for slow, comfortable cruising along the coast, with swims in quiet bays and lunch at anchor. The 7.5 metre boats can be towed, while the larger ones stay on a pontoon or a mooring. Cushions and canvas suffer most in the southern sun, and a sheltered winter spot spares the gelcoat as well.
