Dutchess Yachts is a Dutch yard building motorboats and motor yachts. It grew out of three names in boatbuilding: Dutchess, Vacance and Tyvano. Bringing them together widened the range, and several lines now run side by side under the Dutchess name. According to the broker that handles the brand, the Breva and the Targa come in sizes from 10.20 to 14.50 metres, the Solide as AC, OC and Cabrio, and there is a Vacance line from 10.50 to 14.00 metres. The Breva is also sold as the Tyvano Breva, a nod to where it came from. The Dutchess Targa should not be confused with the Finnish Targa boats built by Botnia Marin in Malax, which is an unrelated yard. The sources do not give a founding year.

The motorboats are the Breva 1020 and the Targa 1020, both 10.2 metres, and the motor yachts are the Solide at 11.5 metres, the Executive at 12.5 metres and the Stanza 13.20 at 13.2 metres. All five start with build year 2019 and all five run into the most recent build years. The range is young and compact, with exactly three metres between the smallest and the largest. The number in the name gives the length away: 1020 stands for 10.20 metres, 13.20 for 13.20 metres. Boats built under the earlier Vacance or Tyvano names are not listed under Dutchess in these records.
Boats of this kind are made for canals, lakes and calm coastal water, often with a low air draught for bridges and a comfortable cockpit for long afternoons. With the whole range built from 2019 onward, a used Dutchess is still a young boat, so the service history of the engine, the hours run and the state of the electronics say more than the age. A look at the hull below the waterline, the propeller and the shaft or drive after a season pays off.
