Is a year of build from the 1960s a reason for refusal?
No. We insure regardless of year of build, place of purchase and previous owners. In full hull cover the agreed value applies, in the Premium tariff with no age limit, so older yachts can also be covered in the normal way.
How is the agreed value determined for an older yacht?
It is based on the replacement value including fixed equipment and is recorded in the policy. In the event of a claim this value applies, with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
