Worth knowing
Fliteboard; cover, cost and conditions
Fliteboard from Australia builds electric hydrofoil boards and, alongside Lift and Waydoo, is one of the well known suppliers. The boards reach well over forty kilometres per hour and, in insurance terms, are motorised watercraft.
That is the decisive point: private third-party liability insurance generally does not cover e-foils, because they are excluded as motorised watercraft. We developed a dedicated tariff for them, third-party liability and limited hull cover for the board, battery included. Also check the registration and licence requirements: they depend on the power output, not on the design.
