Worth knowing
Polaris Industries; cover, cost and conditions
Personal watercraft from the years of construction 1992 to 2004 characterise this programme: SL, SLT, SLX, Virage, Genesis, MSX and Octane, six model ranges with a length of 3 to 3.5 m. Production has ended, and every craft of this brand from the USA is used today and is valued accordingly.
With craft of this age, discussion about the current market value rarely leads anywhere. Instead we agree an agreed value and settle with no deduction for depreciation, in the Premium tier with no age limit. Full hull cover also covers collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts.
A craft with the designation Beta is insured with us. The trailer with which such craft are usually moved is covered by the third-party liability at no extra premium from Basis-Plus, provided it is named in the application with its value; cover applies during launching, while in transit and in winter storage. Third-party liability with 10 to 50 million euros remains the basis.
