One name runs through almost the entire range: Skagerrak, after the strait between Norway, Sweden and Denmark. These are planing and semi planing boats with a wheelhouse or cuddy cabin, the kind used along Scandinavian coasts for day trips and weekends aboard. Three and four digit numbers such as 670, 800 or 1000 roughly give the length in centimetres, with the 14.1 metre Skagerrak 1500 as the clear exception.

The smaller models tow easily and suit lakes and sheltered fjords. The larger ones are berth boats that come ashore for the winter, as is usual in the North.
