Most names follow one pattern: the word Aloa plus a two digit number that roughly matches the length in feet, so the Aloa 23 measures 7 metres, the Aloa 27 8.3 metres and the Aloa 34 just over 10 metres. Two designations break the rule: the Aloa M 36, the only motor yacht of the family, and the Aloa MS 45, the largest sailing yacht. The small Jaka, at 5.2 metres, carries no Aloa name at all. We hold no verified source on the yard's history or its designers, so this page sticks to the figures.
