Bartex; cover, cost and conditions
Bartex is a Polish builder of fishing and sports boats. The name of its main line gives the game away: rybi is Polish for something like of fish. A sales listing describes the Rybi 435 as a centre console boat with a glass fibre polyester hull, a little over four metres long. We hold no confirmed details on when or where the yard was founded. Rybi models carry a three digit number that roughly gives the length in centimetres, while Canada, Skylee and Skyliner follow no such pattern.
Our model records list seven Bartex motorboats. Four belong to the Rybi line: the 435 at 4.3 m (2010 to 2018), the 470 at 4.61 m (from 2004), the 535 at 5.35 m (from 2003) and the 787 at 7.8 m (from 2015). The Canada (4.3 m), Skylee (6.5 m) and Skyliner (8.2 m) are recorded from 2004 to 2018. The Rybi 470, 535 and 787 run into the most recent years. Lengths go from 4.3 metres to 8.2 metres, and five of the seven stay under seven metres.
Most Bartex boats are trailered to lakes, rivers and sheltered coasts, launched wherever the fishing is best. Rinse the hull and trailer after salt water, keep the fish finder transducer clean, and take the outboard or at least its key home when the boat stays at an unguarded ramp.
