Burmester stands for a boatbuilding tradition from Bremen. Ernst Burmester founded a yard in Bremen-Burg in 1920, trading from 1925 as Yacht- und Bootswerft Burmester and growing with the demand for yachts in the twenties. After the Second World War it went back to building yachts and motorboats from 1948. Our records list the brand as Burmesters Bootsbaugesellschaft mbH. The range spans two worlds: racing yachts built to the tonner rules of the seventies and large motor yachts of over 30 metres.
