Worth knowing
Classis; cover, cost and conditions
Three model ranges are recorded, the Classis 8,5, the Classis 24 Boxer and the Lady Laura, all with construction beginning in 1975 and ending by 1984. For sailing boats and sailing yachts the sail area takes the place of the engine power. It is one of the factors from which the premium results.
To this are added the type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range, while the brand is left out. Boats from the seventies and eighties we insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, in full hull cover on the basis of an agreed value and with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
Club races are included from the Basis-Plus tariff onwards, and races with ranking status you declare when taking out cover. Limited hull cover covers fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage. The cover also applies during craning, during launching and on the transport route.

Series by Classis, build years and cover
Classis 8,5 is a sailing yacht from Classis, built from 1975 to 1984.
Classis 24 Boxer is a sailing boat from Classis, built from 1975 to 1983.
Lady Laura is a sailing yacht from Classis, built from 1975 to 1983.
For the Classis 8,5, Classis 24 Boxer and Lady Laura by Classis series there is no list price left.
That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it,
and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
For the Classis 8,5, Lady Laura by Classis series:
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts:
a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat,
and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
For the Classis 24 Boxer by Classis series:
On boats this size the condition of rig and fittings decides.
A dismasting is covered, worn terminals after years are not.
