Worth knowing
Cremo; cover, cost and conditions
Outboards and add-on parts are in high demand among thieves, and the loss hits smaller boats particularly hard. The full hull cover from NAMMERT expressly includes theft of parts including the outboard, plus collision, grounding and vandalism. If your Cremo boat runs with an outboard, its value belongs in the sum insured.
Two boats from Cremo are already sailing in our own portfolio, a Crescent 465 and a Crescent 535 Classic. We do not need extensive yard documentation: the premium is based on the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range, never on the brand name. That means even a brand that has become rare can be insured in the normal way.
Alongside the hull insurance, third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros forms the basis of every contract. A boat trailer is covered by the third-party liability at no extra premium from Basis-Plus, provided it is named in the application with its value, and cover applies during launching, craning, in transit and in winter storage. You can add it to the hull cover for a premium. Cover can be taken out online up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros.
