Small series and home builds can be insured. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, and even then full hull cover works with a firmly agreed value. Compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff with no age limit and with no subsequent deduction for current market value.
What counts for the rating is the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine output or sail area, and cruising range, never the brand. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy can be taken out online; above that we review each case individually. Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros forms the basis.
