Fjellstrand is based at Omastrand in the Hardanger region on Norway's west coast. Trading as Fjellstrand Båtbyggeri & Aluminiumindustri, the yard built yachts in welded aluminium in the late 1960s, among them sportfishermen for Striker, the Florida brand that used yards in Chile, Norway and Korea alongside its own plant. A Striker 44 from 1969 is recorded as built at Omastrand, and a Striker 37 was built in Norway in 1968 and 1969 and then fitted out in Florida. These boats are easy to recognise by their angular lines, a flybridge carrying the main helm and a second, simple station in the cockpit. Today Fjellstrand is a shipyard for newbuilds, refits and offshore construction.
