Goldfish Boat, listed in our records as Godfish Boat AS, is a Norwegian yard about 50 kilometres south of Oslo. Pål Sollie founded it in 1991 and remains its designer and owner. He is self taught, started out as a carpenter and long built the prototypes of his designs with his own hands; before founding the yard he was active in boatbuilding and powerboat racing. The first goal was to build racing boats by hand. A 16 foot centre console boat came first, followed by a 30 foot model and then a sports cruiser. The first rigid inflatable followed in 2001, and today Goldfish mainly builds RIBs and tenders. The boats show their racing roots in sporty lines drawn for speed.
