Jet Tern Marine builds the motor yachts of the Selene brand. Howard Chen, a naval architect from Taiwan, founded the company in 1998 after twelve years running Taiwanese yards; building takes place at Dongguan and at the works near Zhuhai in the Pearl River delta, not far from Macau. What is built are long range yachts with a displacement hull, boats meant to cross oceans under their own power. You recognise them by the tall solidly built hull with its pronounced sheer, the wheelhouse with windows all round and a foredeck that looks more like a working ship than a leisure yacht.
