For Kimman the motor yacht Nautic 33 with construction years from 1965 to 1973 is recorded, and no further ranges are available. A yacht from that period is traded exclusively second-hand today. For the policy this is no special case, because NAMMERT insures irrespective of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners.
With a used purchase the decisive question is the value at which the boat is stated in the policy. In full hull cover an agreed value is arranged for this, compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old") and in the Premium tariff without an age limit. Discussions about residual values therefore do not arise in the event of a claim.
Ahead of hull cover comes third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros in the levels Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium. Anyone who wants out of a policy that has been taken over uses the switching service: NAMMERT cancels the previous policy free of charge and takes over the cover seamlessly.
