Siner g builds tenders in northern Italy and brings them to market under the name Aermarine. The company was formed in 2002. What it makes are small boats carried aboard a yacht: inflatables with an air floor or a roll up floor, rigid inflatables with a fibreglass or aluminium hull, and small jet tenders. Its signature is a transom that folds inwards, on which the house holds a patent: with the outboard fitted, the boat becomes shorter and lower, which is what counts on a yacht deck or in a stern garage.
Our model records list 65 Siner g models, 36 of them rigid inflatables and 29 soft inflatables. Build years start in 2003 and run into current production. Sixty series are recorded, named after the lines: Cabrio for the version with a rigid forward section, Espace for the roomy variant, Alusmart for the aluminium hull, Royale for the fully fitted version, and Airdeck and Roll for the floors without a rigid hull. The suffix Kart marks the version with a launching trolley. Lengths run from 1.9 to 5 metres, half the models between 2.5 and 3.2 metres. The number gives the length in centimetres.
A tender leads a strange life compared with the boat that carries it. It spends most of the season lashed on a deck or hoisted in davits, exposed to sun and salt without ever being used, and then goes ashore twice a day in a week of cruising. That is why the tube, not the hull, is usually what gives up first, and why on a three metre boat the outboard is often worth more than the boat itself.
