Zeppelin Boote; cover, cost and conditions
Zeppelin builds inflatable boats and RIBs in Germany that are widespread on inland waters and on the Baltic, solidly built, with Hypalon tubes and German service. The advantage for the owner shows in a claim: replacement tubes and repairs run through the manufacturer at home, with no waiting for parts from the Far East. That shortens the downtime and keeps repair costs within a calculable range.
Hypalon lasts longer than PVC, twenty years and more are normal on well-kept boats. For the insurance this means: the current market value of a used Zeppelin is higher than that of a PVC boat of the same age, and hull insurance is worthwhile correspondingly longer. Set the value according to the current market level, not according to linear depreciation; with Hypalon boats owners regularly underestimate the value.
The most frequent damage occurs while lying alongside and during transport. An inflatable boat at the jetty chafes against the topsides in a swell, and a boat on the trailer takes stone chips and slipstream. Both are covered under full hull cover, in so far as it is external impact. Use rubbing strips and a boat cover for the road, the boat cover itself is insured as technical equipment if it is stated in the application.

For the Zeppelin 2.7 / 3.0, Zeppelin 8.0 / 9.5, Zeppelin 3.4 / 4.2 by Zeppelin and further series:
On an inflatable the cause decides, not the damage: a tear from impact is covered,
porous fabric after years in the sun is not.
The outboard belongs in the policy with its serial number.
For the Zeppelin Ruder- und Sportboote by Zeppelin series:
On a rowing boat hull and riggers are delicate; most damage happens launching and recovering.
