Novurania builds tenders for yachts, often custom-made for a particular stern. The value is well above that of a production inflatable, and this is exactly what is often overlooked in contracts: the tender runs along as an accessory although it costs a five-figure sum. Enter it in the contract with its own value.
With us the tender is included in the boat insurance of the mother yacht up to an agreed amount, and above that it is listed separately. Theft out of the water and off the davit is the main risk with high-value tenders, and a tracker brings a ten percent discount on the hull insurance.
