Worth knowing
Sunmarine; cover, cost and conditions
We have no model ranges on file for this brand, neither types of boat nor production periods. That changes nothing about insurability, because we insure irrespective of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. Small series and home-built boats are insurable too; what matters are the details of the specific boat.
The basis in every case is the third-party liability cover with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros, selectable in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels. Limited hull cover and full hull cover build on it. For the premium what counts is the type of boat, the value, the year of construction, the engine output or sail area and the cruising range, never the brand.
Under full hull cover an agreed value is arranged and compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff without an age limit. Cover also applies in winter storage, during craning and launching and while in transit. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy can be taken out online.
