Swift Craft; cover, cost and conditions

Seven motorboat ranges are recorded, among them Bahia, Sabinal, Stiletto and Surco 21, with years of construction from 1978 to 1992. Production has ended. For the premium of a motorboat, alongside value and year of construction it is above all the installed power that counts.

Added to that are the type of boat and the cruising range. Two boats of the same length can therefore be rated differently, depending on engine fit and sailing area. The name of the yard never affects the premium, neither with old boats nor with new ones. What matters are the details you give about the boat when taking out the policy.

For boats from the eighties we agree an agreed value instead of a current market value, in the Premium tariff with no age limit, and we indemnify with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). Year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners are no obstacle to acceptance. The trailer is included in the boat insurance at no extra premium.

Which details determine the premium?

Type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power or sail area and the cruising range. The brand does not enter into it, neither with a current model range nor with a discontinued one.

Is damage from vandalism covered?

Vandalism belongs to the full hull cover, as do collision, grounding and theft of parts including the outboard. The limited hull cover covers fire, storm, lightning strike and theft of the whole boat.

A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).

Registration
