Tecnorib Srl.; cover, cost and conditions

Tecnorib is an Italian yard in Rescaldina near Milan, an area where many inflatable boat builders have settled. It builds rigid inflatables under licence from the tyre maker Pirelli, which is why every model carries the Pirelli name. Tecnorib has since joined forces with the Sacs yard as Sacs Tecnorib S.p.A., and the Pirelli licence continues. The boats are known as fast, finely finished RIBs, popular as superyacht tenders, chase boats and day boats, and easy to recognise by the bold Pirelli lettering and the clean lines of console and tube.

Our model records list 18 Tecnorib designs, all RIBs and all from build year 2017. The J series counts eight models, the J29, J33, J39 and J45 each with an Azimut variant; the S series has six, from the S28 to the S43 Open, and the T series three, the T45, T65 and T75. The Pirelli 42 is the only large boat. Eight lines run into the most recent years, while the S models and Azimut variants end in 2021. Lengths run from 2.8 metres (S28) to 13.1 metres (Pirelli 42).

Most Pirelli RIBs live as tenders, hanging in davits or sitting in a yacht's garage, and come out for beach runs and guest transfers. Tubes should be rinsed with fresh water and kept out of strong sun when not in use, and a small outboard on a tender likes a regular flush. The Pirelli 42 is a different animal, a berth boat for fast day trips along the coast.
