Advance Cruising was set up in 2010 with one idea: to combine the strengths of a monohull and a multihull in a single cruising boat. The answer, the C 329 trimaran, was shown at the Salon International du Multicoque in France in 2013. The brand has no production site of its own; the boats are built in aluminium by the Rolgard Marine yard in Tunisia. What sets the C 329 apart are her floats. In harbour an exclusive folding system, linked to the shrouds on the main hull, draws them in towards the centre, and the boat then needs little more room than a monohull. Spread out she is just over six metres wide, folded about three.
Our model records list one design for Advancecruising.fr: the Advance Cruising C 329, filed as a trimaran of nine metres. It appears from build year 2018 and reaches into the most recent build years, so the line is still current. The 2013 launch does not appear as a separate build year in our data. Below deck the French sailing press describes 1.90 metres of headroom, two double berths two metres long, a table for six, an enclosed heads with shower and a galley with an 80 litre fridge. The shallow draft opens up anchorages that deeper boats cannot reach and suits family cruising as well as sailing single-handed.

The folding mechanism, its pins, bearings and the beams that carry the floats should move freely and show no cracks or play, and it pays to fold and unfold the boat during a viewing. The aluminium hull needs the usual care against galvanic corrosion: anodes checked, stainless fittings isolated, bilges dry. Because the floats sit close to the main hull when folded, fenders and berth layout matter in a marina. Her shallow draft invites exploring bays and creeks, so a careful look at the underside for grounding marks is part of any purchase.
