Frequent questions
Can a boat from 1975 still be insured at all?
Yes. Build year is not a reason for exclusion. What matters is condition, value and cruising area. For very old boats we recommend a survey so that the sum insured is documented.
What happens if the hull is saturated with moisture?
Saturation is a gradual process and counts as wear, not as a claim. It does reduce the value, however, and that should be reflected in the sum insured so that the figure stays realistic.
