C & B Nautica stands for Cigala & Bertinetti, a Turin boatbuilder founded by Fulvio Bertinetti in 1957 and among the first in Italy to build leisure boats in glass reinforced plastic. From the 1970s the yard worked with the designer Fabio Buzzi, and it closed during the economic crisis of 1991 and 1992. Two numbering systems apply: on the Akis and Narvalo the number roughly gives the length in feet, so a Narvalo 25 is 7.5 metres long, while on small boats with a V before the number, such as the Acrobat V 430, it gives centimetres.
Our model records list 26 C & B Nautica models: 23 motor boats and three larger ones listed as motor yachts. Recorded build years run from 1965 to 1988, and none is still built. Lengths range from 3.5 to 10.6 metres, half of them between 3.9 and 6.5 metres. The Akis line covers the 21 S and 22 at 6.3 to 6.5 metres and the Akis 24 at 7.3 metres. The Narvalo 31 and 33 measure 9.6 and 9.8 metres, and the largest is the Offshore 34 at 10.6 metres.
These are classic Italian runabouts and offshore style cruisers, used today for summer days on the lakes and the Riviera and at classic boat meetings. All of them are more than thirty five years old, so value rests almost entirely on condition: the laminate and transom, the originality of deck and interior, and the engine, original or repowered. Documented restoration work makes a clear difference.
