Cantiere Mimì is a Naples yard building gozzi, the traditional motor boats of the Gulf, from five to 13.5 metres. Salvatore Senese founded it in 1975, when he built the first two boats himself: a gozzo and a 4.6 metre launch in glassfibre. He is still active in the business, while his son Domenico Senese has gradually taken on more of the work. The yard pairs the inherited shape of the gozzo with modern building techniques. Today the range is split into the Fisherman and Libeccio lines. A Libeccio is easy to recognise by its rounded bow and stern lines, and most models carry a teak main deck. The yard sits in Agnano, on the western side of Naples.
