Comfortbatar is listed with 13 models, all sailing yachts. The Comfortina range covers the 32, 35, 36, 38, 39, 41, 42, 43 and 46, joined by the Cayenne 42 and the Compis 33. Build years run since 1975, lengths from 9.5 to 14.1 m.
Comfortina yachts are Scandinavian cruisers with a solid reputation for seaworthiness, and they are sailed accordingly on the Baltic and the North Sea and on passages north. The cruising area is therefore the first point for insurance: it should reach as far as your planned destinations, not just your home water. The second point is the rig, because on yachts from the 1980s and 1990s material fatigue is a wear matter and not covered.

Frequent questions
Does my policy also apply to a passage to Norway?
Only if the cruising area is agreed accordingly. Report the passage beforehand and it will be extended. A loss outside the agreed area is not covered, not even on the way back.
How often should the rig be overhauled?
There is no fixed requirement; 15 to 20 years is usual. What matters for insurance: a failure through material fatigue counts as wear, while a failure caused by an event is covered.

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
