Elan Yachts; cover, cost and conditions
Elan builds sailing yachts between 10 and 15 metres in Slovenia, the E series sporty with vacuum infusion hulls and carbon reinforcement, the Impression range as a cruising yacht. The yard comes from ski manufacturing, and the vacuum process stems from that production: lighter, more uniform laminates than hand lay-up.
For the sporty models with carbon reinforcement a surcharge applies with us; carbon repairs are structural work with vacuum technique and tempering, not laminate patching. The second point is racing: Elan yachts are frequently sailed in competition, and organised races are not automatically included in the cover. They require an express agreement, so register this before the season.
