A boat is not automatically safe in winter storage. For the Lis boats from Gade Bootsbau, whatever their year of construction, limited hull cover therefore covers damage in winter storage, plus fire, storm, lightning strike and theft of the entire boat. Cover also exists during craning and launching.
The Lis Jollenkreuzer has been built since 1965 and is still in the programme today, the Lis-Jolle since 1976. From 2010 to 2021 a barrier-free Lis-Jolle was also produced. With sailing boats the premium depends on sail area, value, year of construction and cruising range, never on the brand.
A LIS Jollenkreuzer is already sailing in our own portfolio. Anyone taking part in club races with their dinghy is covered from the Basis-Plus tariff level upwards. Races with scoring status are declared when the policy is taken out, and then the cover fits on race day as well.

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.

On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
