They remain insurable regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners, and the boat trailer is covered by the third-party liability at no extra premium from Basis-Plus, provided it is named in the application with its value. You can add it to the hull cover for a premium.

The cover continues to apply during launching, during craning and while in transport, as well as in winter storage. The route from the shed to the water and back is thus part of the contract and needs no second policy.

The premium follows type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range. Anyone buying such a boat second hand can include legal expenses cover for water sports, which applies in a dispute after the purchase or with a shipyard. Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros remains the basis.
