Worth knowing
Faber; cover, cost and conditions
Two ranges are recorded, the Faber Kruiser 850 and the Faber Kruiser 1075, built between 1977 and 1987. With motor yachts from that period a precise list of electronics and equipment is worthwhile, because what is stated there enters into the agreed sum insured.
The agreed value fixes this amount bindingly. In the event of a claim full hull cover pays compensation with no deduction for depreciation, in the Premium tariff with no age limit. Collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard are covered, with no time window and no night clause.
Since both ranges came to an end in the eighties, the boats change hands today on the used market. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. For trips abroad we issue the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Does permanently installed electronic equipment belong to the insured value?
Whatever is recorded in the list and taken into account in the sum insured is reflected through the agreed value. Compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation, in the Premium tariff with no age limit.
Do I need an additional document for a trip abroad?
You receive the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages. With it you can prove the existing cover outside Germany as well.

Series by Faber, build years and cover
Faber Kruiser 850 is a motor yacht from Faber, built from 1980 to 1987.
Faber Kruiser 1075 is a motor yacht from Faber, built from 1977 to 1983.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
