Great White; cover, cost and conditions

Great White is the boat brand of Greatwhite Of Sweden AB. It covers inflatables with PVC tubes, rigid inflatables with aluminium hulls and a small aluminium boat, the Xplorer 395, and the company also services outboard engines. The naming is consistent: the number is the length in centimetres, the letter A or the word Alu marks an aluminium hull, suffixes such as Seats, Sport, DLX or Pro describe fit out, and IF is used for the plain inflatables.

Our model records list 33 models: 22 rigid inflatables, ten inflatables and one motor boat. Recorded build years start in 2016, and 30 of the 33 run into current production. Lengths go from 1.7 to seven metres, with half between three and four metres. The IF series has nine inflatables from the IF170 at 1.7 metres to the IF430 at 4.3 metres. The aluminium RIBs start with the RIB 240A Alu at 2.4 metres and reach the DLX Alu models from five to 6.4 metres and the RIB 700 Pro Alu at seven metres. The Xplorer 395 measures 3.95 metres.

Most of these boats lead a mobile life, on a trailer, on a yacht's foredeck or in the boot of a car. The aluminium bottom copes with rocky Scandinavian shores, while PVC tubes age with sun and storage. Value comes from the tubes and seams, the outboard, and on DLX and Pro models the console, seating and electronics.
