Jachtwerf Oost is a Dutch yard whose boats sail under the Oostvaarder name. They are built in steel, and brokers describe them as sturdy steel motor yachts, such as a 9.72 metre 950 OK from 1991. In 2010 the yard launched the Oostvaarder 1200 AK, listed as the first boat of its New Line. You recognise them by the Oostvaarder name followed by a number that roughly tracks length in centimetres, and by the familiar Dutch recipe of steel hull, modest draught and an all-round view from the helm.

Our records hold seven Oostvaarder models. Four are motor yachts (900, 950, 1040 and 1050), two are filed as sailing yachts (1040 MS and Oostvaarder MS) and the 1090 MS is listed as a motor sailer. Build years run from 1970, when the 900 and 1050 started, to 2002, the final year of the 1090 MS. The 950 has the longest run, from 1986 to 2000.
