Jarrett Bay Boatworks builds custom sportfishing yachts in Beaufort, North Carolina. Charter captain Randy Ramsey started the yard in 1986 when he built a 15.84 metre boat to replace his old charter vessel. The success of that boat, Sensation, brought orders from other professional and tournament anglers. Most Jarrett Bay yachts are one off builds in cold moulded wood, alongside a 10.36 metre composite model built in small series. You recognise them by name rather than by model, since each carries a hull number and a name of its own.
Our records hold ten entries, each a single hull with number and name, from Hull 1 Sensation to Hull 11 Bill Collector; number 5 is missing. Nine are listed as motor yachts, Hull 10 Done Deal at 7.62 metres as a motorboat.
