Worth knowing
Kraller; cover, cost and conditions
A change of insurer often fails simply because of the effort involved with the old policy. NAMMERT takes that off your hands and cancels your existing policy free of charge. For a Kraller motorboat the new cover can be prepared in such a way that you do not have to deal with the cancellation yourself.
The brand's motorboats range from the A 23 to the A 54, and there are also the E and K model ranges. Most were built between 1994 and 2005; the A 42 was most recently built from 2019 to 2023; an A 42 is already sailing in our own portfolio. The premium is based on type of boat, value, year of build, engine power and cruising range.
When switching it is worth looking at the cover: full hull cover with an agreed value and indemnity with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), theft of parts including the outboard, cover in winter storage, during craning and launching, with no time window and no night clause. A boat trailer is covered by the third-party liability at no extra premium from Basis-Plus, provided it is named in the application with its value. You can add it to the hull cover for a premium.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
My Kraller is still insured elsewhere. How does the switch work?
For Kraller: You take out the new policy and NAMMERT handles the cancellation of the old one free
of charge.
That way the transition creates no additional effort for you,
and the new cover begins seamlessly after the old one.
My A 42 is considerably newer than other Kraller boats. What counts for the premium?
For Kraller: Type of boat, value, year of build, engine power and cruising range, not the brand.
We insure older model ranges such as the A 23 just the same,
in the Premium tariff with full hull cover with no age limit.

For the A 42, A 23, A 25 by Kraller and 11 more series the market value and the replacement cost
often differ widely.
An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
For the A 42, A 23, A 25 by Kraller and further series:
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part.
Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
For the Felix by Kraller series: Open catamarans are beached and trailed,
so most damage happens ashore and in transit, not on the water.
