Worth knowing
Oceanic; cover, cost and conditions
Two inflatable boats with motors are documented, the 470 Sprint from 2012 to 2020 and the 800 Ocean Soda from 2017 to 2024. Boats of this kind are taken to the water on a trailer, and the boat trailer is included in the boat insurance at no extra premium, without a separate policy.
Cover does not end at the water. It applies during launching, during craning, in winter storage and while in transport. Theft of parts including the outboard is part of full hull cover, while theft of the entire boat is part of limited hull cover, as are fire, storm, lightning strike and damage in winter storage.
Both ranges have been discontinued and are insured today as used boats. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, and the agreed value records the arranged amount in the policy. Compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"), in the Premium tariff without an age limit.
Questions and answers

Does including the trailer cost extra?
No, the boat trailer is included in the boat insurance at no extra premium. Transport, launching, craning and winter storage are also included.
Is the motor of an 800 Ocean Soda covered against theft?
Theft of parts including the outboard is part of full hull cover. If the entire inflatable boat is stolen, limited hull cover applies, which also includes fire, storm and lightning strike.

Series by Oceanic, build years and cover
800 Ocean Soda is an inflatable with engine from Oceanic, built from 2017 to 2024.
470 Sprint is an inflatable with engine from Oceanic, built from 2012 to 2020.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On an inflatable the cause decides, not the damage: a tear from impact is covered, porous fabric after years in the sun is not. The outboard belongs in the policy with its serial number.
