Worth knowing
Roughneck Marine; cover, cost and conditions
Three inflatable boats with engine are recorded: the 808 since 2013, the Tender 636 since 2011 and the Tender 1010 since 2014, all in production to this day. No further details about the yard are available. With inflatable boats with an engine a large part of the value hangs on the propulsion, and that is precisely what the hull cover is aimed at.
Theft of parts including the outboard is covered under full hull cover, as are vandalism, collision and grounding. So that the indemnification is right, the engine belongs in the schedule when the policy is taken out, because the agreed value reflects the value agreed.
Tenders are moved frequently, at the jetty, on davits or on the trailer. The cover applies during craning, during launching, during transport and in winter storage, and a boat trailer is included at no extra premium.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Is a tender's engine covered against theft?
Theft of parts including the outboard belongs to full hull cover. If the entire boat is stolen, limited hull cover already applies, which also comprises fire, storm and lightning strike.
Does a trailer for an inflatable boat run separately?
No, boat trailers are included in the boat insurance at no extra premium.

Series by Roughneck Marine, build years and cover
Roughneck 808 is an inflatable with engine from Roughneck Marine, built since 2013.
Roughneck Tender 636 is an inflatable with engine from Roughneck Marine, built since 2011.
Roughneck Tender 1010 is an inflatable with engine from Roughneck Marine, built since 2014.
As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On an inflatable the cause decides, not the damage: a tear from impact is covered, porous fabric after years in the sun is not. The outboard belongs in the policy with its serial number.
