Worth knowing
Samsung B.C; cover, cost and conditions
Samsung B.C appears in our records as the maker of a closed family of inflatables, all called Panorama. We have found no reliable source on the company itself, so this page sticks to what the range shows. Each boat carries a code of three or four letters after the word Panorama and a three digit number giving the length in centimetres: a Panorama PAR 350 is 3.5 metres, a PST 200 two metres. The letters mark the series, from small tenders such as the PST and PND to longer outboard boats such as the PARD and PRGD.
Our model records list 34 models, 33 inflatables and one rigid inflatable, all built between 2002 and 2010 and none in current production. Lengths run from two to 7.5 metres, with half between 2.7 and 4.2 metres. Nine series share the range, most of them within two to 4.7 metres. The PRGD series reaches furthest, from 3.2 to 6.5 metres, and the PRGD 750 at 7.5 metres is the only rigid hull boat.
A Panorama from these years is a second hand boat today, often a yacht tender or a small fishing boat on a lake. Its value rests on the tubes: supple fabric, seams that hold air and a sound transom. How it spent its winters tells more than the build year, and the outboard fitted can be worth as much as the boat.

For the Panorama PAR 350, Panorama PAR 380,
Panorama PARD 420 by Samsung B.C and 31 more series the market value and the replacement cost
often differ widely.
An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
For the Panorama PAR 350, Panorama PAR 380, Panorama PARD 420 by Samsung B.C and further series:
Even without an engine the rule holds: a tear from impact or vandalism is covered,
UV ageing is wear.
For the Panorama PRGD 750 by Samsung B.C series: On an inflatable the cause decides,
not the damage: a tear from impact is covered, porous fabric after years in the sun is not.
The outboard belongs in the policy with its serial number.
