For many motor boats every season begins on the trailer, and that is where it ends as well. With us the boat trailer is covered by the third-party liability at no extra premium from Basis-Plus, provided it is named in the application with its value; the cover applies during launching, during craning and while the boat is in transit. An SBM is thus insured continuously from the yard to the water, with no time window and no night clause.

The SBM 600 has been built since 1996, and model ranges such as the SBM 430, SBM 680 and SBM 840 are also still in production today; others, for example the SBM 520, were produced until 2007. Whether a current model or an older model range, the policy can be taken out online up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros.

An SBM 600 already sails in our own portfolio. The premium is based on value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range, never on the brand; the basis is third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels.

Does it cost extra to include the trailer of my SBM 550?

For SBM Boote & Motoren: The boat trailer is covered by the third-party liability at no extra

premium from Basis-Plus, provided it is named in the application with its value.

You can add it to the hull cover for a premium.

The cover also applies while the boat is in transit as well as during launching and craning.

Is my SBM 680 also insured during craning in autumn?

Yes, for SBM Boote & Motoren too: the cover expressly applies during craning, launching,

in transit and in winter storage, with no time window and no night clause in the hull insurance.
