Sichterman Yachts is a young Dutch yard based in the province of Friesland. It takes its name from Jan Albert Sichterman, who ran the Dutch East India Company's operations in Bengal between 1734 and 1744. The yard builds motor yachts entirely in aluminium and has set out a range from 15 to 26 metres. Hull lines come from Van Oossanen Naval Architects, interiors from Cor D. Rover. The first yacht to leave the shed was the 18 metre Inveni in 2019. The Libertas 15M shows what the brand is about: a planing hull, twin Volvo Penta IPS 950 drives and a top speed of around 40 knots, conceived as a fast day boat for hopping along the coast.

These yachts are built for coastal hops in warm water, where sun and salt wear on teak and canvas.
