Statement Marine is based in Schagen in North Holland, a short way inland from the coast between Alkmaar and Den Helder. The yard builds the PTS 26, a cabin launch with classic lines that recalls the open sloeps so common on Dutch waters while offering proper accommodation below. The design comes from the Dutch studio Vripack. Look for the deep open cockpit, which sellers call the bucket and which seats eight adults, the mahogany cabin windows and a deck laid in Esthec, a low-maintenance surface with the look of timber. We found no founding history for the yard in the sources, so that part stays open here.

When looking at a used PTS 26, start with the engine, since the range of fitted units is wide. Service records for a common rail diesel matter more than hours alone. The Esthec deck asks little more than a wash, but its edges and fixings deserve a look. Mahogany window frames like a coat of varnish every couple of seasons. Check the canvas, the spray hood and the bathing platform, as these were supplied with the boat and are costly to replace. Most owners use the boat on canals, rivers and lakes, so fenders, rubbing strakes and the hull sides often show the marks of locks and tight moorings.
