Transpacific Marine is a Taiwanese yard. According to the source it started out at its yard in Taipei with a limited run of wooden sailing yachts before moving to fibreglass. The name is best known through the Eagle trawlers. The Eagle 40 Pilothouse, for example, sits on a solid fibreglass semi-displacement hull with a wide stern and a deep keel that protects the propeller. Eagles are easy to spot by their workboat profile, strong sheer and low silhouette, with plenty of teak inside. Alongside them sits the Transpacific 49, a ketch.
