The value arises from the design, the material, the quality of the fit-out, the machinery and the equipment, and with carefully built boats it is considerably higher than a depreciated value calculation produces. We record an agreed value on the basis of a valuation report. Anyone who has built or converted a boat themselves should keep invoices, photographs from the building period and design documents: they are the proof of what is in the boat.
