Visscher Jachtbouw is based in Lemmer, a boating town in Friesland on the edge of the IJsselmeer. Under the Concordia name the yard builds motor yachts for touring, and listings also give it as Visscher Yachting Lemmer. The range has no link to the American wooden Concordia yawls of the same name. The model codes describe the layout: AC stands for the Dutch achterkajuit, an aft cabin, while OC marks the open cockpit version with a free aft deck. We found no documented founding story for the yard, so this text keeps to what the boats themselves show.

Our model records list eleven designs, ten as motor yachts and one, the Concordia 108 AC Classic, as a motorboat. The oldest entry is the Alhorncruiser, ten metres long and built from 1981 to 1987. The Concordia line starts in 2004 with the Concordia 12.70, the Concordia 105 AC and the Concordia Trawler 1500. Five designs carry the AC code (85, 92, 105, 108 Classic and 125) and three the OC code (33, 102 and 145). Lengths run from nine metres for the Concordia 85 AC to 14.99 metres for the Concordia Trawler 1500. Five lines end in 2022 and three in 2017. Only the Concordia 85 AC, listed from 2023, reaches into the most recent build years.

Dutch motor yachts of this kind are made for long stretches of canal and lake, with lock after lock. On a used Concordia, look at the fenders and rubbing strakes: they tell you how gently the boat was handled in locks and tight harbours. Check the engine hours against the age, the condition of the shaft seal and the bow thruster if one is fitted. On aft cabin models the windows and their seals deserve attention, because a leak there shows up slowly in the joinery. Many owners spend whole summers aboard, so heating, holding tank and battery bank are worth a careful look. A boat with a complete maintenance file is worth more than a shiny one without it.
