Vivante Yachts; cover, cost and conditions

Vivante Yachts is a Dutch yard in Sneek, Friesland. It builds motor yachts in steel and aluminium that pair classic hull lines with modern superstructures, designed with the Sneek based office Vripack. The Vivante 43 Hardtop shows the idea: it uses the lines of the earlier Cabrio Cruiser with a different superstructure, and owners can choose between steel, which means more weight and a bigger engine, and aluminium for a lighter boat. The CC and Hardtop tags mark different superstructures on the same hull.

Our records list 11 models, all motor yachts, in five sizes: 40, 42, 43, 50 and 55. Four carry the CC tag, four the Hardtop tag, and three have no suffix, the Vivante 42, 50 and 55. Lengths run from 12.2 metres for the Vivante 40 CC and 40 Hardtop to 17 metres for the Vivante 55 Hardtop. The 42 measures 12.9 metres, the 43 models around 13.5, the three 50 models 14.95 and the other 55 models 16.9. The earliest build year is 2003, most models start in 2010, and six lines are recorded up to the latest build years.

Vivantes are made for Dutch inland waters and coastal cruising, where low bridges and locks shape daily life on board. A fixed hardtop helps stretch the season into spring and autumn. Steel hulls want regular checks of paint and anodes, and aluminium needs care wherever other metals touch it.
