Vrijbuiter is a Dutch motor yacht brand from the Vrijbuiter Jachtbouw yard in Waspik, North Brabant. It built steel motor yachts of the kind found all over Dutch canals, rivers and lakes: solid displacement boats with generous accommodation, made for long trips at an easy pace. The model number gives the length in centimetres, so the 1000 is ten metres long, the 1175 exactly 11.75 metres and the 1260 exactly 12.6 metres. A steel hull, a strong stem and a helm with good all round visibility mark the brand.

Our records list six Vrijbuiter models, all motor yachts. The oldest is the 12.6 metre Vrijbuiter 1260, from 1978 to 1996. From 1986 the 10 metre 1000 and the 11.25 metre 1125 join, both until 1995, together with the 14.9 metre 1500, listed until 1999.
