Waypoint; cover, cost and conditions
Third-party liability carries the part of the risk that affects others and therefore comes first. For Waypoint we have one model range on record, the Waypoint 34 Pro Fish, a motor yacht from the years 1998 to 2005. For it third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros is available.
The Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels can be chosen. Limited hull cover builds on this with fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the whole boat and damage in winter storage, while full hull cover adds collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard.
No further details about the shipyard are available. After production ended in 2005 it is a matter of used units, which we accept regardless of the year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros you take out the policy online, and above that we examine the individual case.

Why does third-party liability come at the start of the contract?
Because it carries damage to other people's property and injury to persons. With a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros it is the basis on which limited hull cover and full hull cover build.
Can a boat without a complete history be insured?
Yes. We insure regardless of the year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. For the premium the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range are sufficient.

A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration

Series by Waypoint, build years and cover
Waypoint 34 Pro Fish is a motor yacht from Waypoint, built from 1998 to 2005.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
