How the place works
The gullies shift with every gale, and printed charts lag behind reality. Anyone sailing here navigates by the current buoyage and the tide, not by the paper, and the window for a passage is often only two hours wide.
What breaks there
Taking the ground is part of the area, but it goes wrong when the boat settles on hard or sloping ground, or when the bank holds it as the water comes back. Keel, rudder and hull root carry the load, and a keelboat on its side fills on the flood.
What this means for your policy
Settle explicitly whether deliberately taking the ground is covered: some sets of conditions treat it as intended use, others see an increase in risk. In the Wadden Sea that is not an academic question.
