Idea Marine is based in Mesagne, in the province of Brindisi in the south of Puglia. Trading as Idea Marine S.r.l., the company builds open runabouts and small cabin boats for coastal waters, and says that every boat is produced entirely in Italy by a workforce of more than fifty. The model names are easy to decode: the number matches the length in decimetres, so a 58 is just under six metres and a 70 is seven. The WA versions add a small cabin, while the Open boats keep the deck clear. You meet them mostly in Italian waters, in rental fleets on the Amalfi Coast and on dealer forecourts along the Adriatic.
