Cantieri Nautici Lamberti is an Italian builder of small glassfibre motorboats. We could not find a website of the yard, so there is no founding year or home port here; what follows comes from our model records and from listings of used boats. Almost everything carries the name Yama. The number usually gives the length in feet, roughly: the Yama 16 measures 4.9 metres, the Yama 22 about 6.7 metres. Some early models give it in centimetres instead, so the Yama 520 is 5.2 metres long and the Yama 630 6.3 metres. The suffix tells the layout: Open with an open cockpit, Cabin with a small cuddy, Sky with a raised helm, Walk with a passage to the bow.

Our model records list 36 designs, 34 motorboats and two motor yachts. Build years fall between 1995 and 2017, and none reaches the most recent years. Lengths run from 3.7 metres for the Marina and the Lory to 8.5 metres for the Splashing 750, the largest Lamberti in our records. Sixteen designs stay under six metres, 17 sit between six and eight, three are longer. The Yama line ran longest: the Yama 16 Open, 18 Open and 22 Open are listed from 1995 to 2016. The two motor yachts are the Yama 26 and Yama 27 at just over 8.4 metres. Until 2002 there were also small boats called Fishing, Joan, Queen Mary, Sprint 500 and Star.

A Lamberti is a typical Mediterranean day boat: launched in the morning, anchored in a cove for a swim, back on the trailer or the mooring in the evening. Since production ended in 2017, every boat on the water is a used one, and many date from the nineties. On those, the transom where the outboard is bolted, the steering cable and the fuel lines deserve a careful look. Small cuddy boats such as the Cabin versions gather condensation, so airing them after a trip keeps the upholstery fresh.
